BTA, a focus group of the
Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE), is pleased you have
taken a moment to visit our site and familiarize yourself with our
organization.  Members of BTA are professors, scholars, artists, and
graduate students who are dedicated to the continued study and
development of Black theatre.  We gather annually at ATHE’s national
conference to share ideas and support each other’s work.  This website
is designed for all of us to stay connected to throughout the year, and
we invite you to join BTA to become a part of our ever-growing
